Live da record: 3 concerti in 48 ore per i Red Hot Chili Peppers!!!

Ci siamo chiesti molte volte quando i Red Hot avrebbero trovato il tempo per suonare al Roskilde Festival (che dura dal 5 all' 8 Luglio), visto che il 6 Luglio è in programma il concerto al Parc de Princes di Parigi e che la band aderirà al Live Earth (concerto di sensibilizzazione dell'opinione pubblica sul cambiamento climatico) il giorno successivo.

Bene, il 7 Luglio i Peppers saranno impegnati a Londra nella prima metà della giornata per il Live Earth, e poi voleranno in Danimarca per suonare al Roskilde in tarda serata! Francia, Inghilterra, Danimarca: insomma 3 concerti in poco più di 48 ore!!!

Ricordiamo che il Live Earth sarà trasmesso integralmente in diretta su MTV Italia.

Un party organizzato per il fanclub ufficiale a Parigi

Riportiamo di seguito la news del sito ufficiale che comunica la possibilità offerta ai golden members del fanclub ufficiale di prendere parte alla festa che si terrà a Parigi, poco prima dello show al Parc de Princes il giorno 06/07/07. Chiunque fosse golden member è quindi invitato a controllare la propria casella di posta: i dettagli del party verranno comunicati da Rhcp.com tramite e-mail.

We want to say a big thank you to all those who have been patiently waiting for information about how to pick up their tickets to the upcoming Red Hot Chili Pepper's show at Parc de Prince, Paris, on July 6th, 2007.

We know that fan club members are concerned that the show is General Admission, and so we are in the middle of investigating arrangements to allow fan club presale buyers early entry into the venue. If we are able to confirm these details we will send an update to all fan club ticket holders two weeks in advance of the show.

The fan club will be hosting a get together before the show in Paris (details for this party will follow in another e-mail), and member's tickets can be picked up at this special event. We will also be raffling off a few RHCP mementos, so we hope that all Paris-show bound fan club members will be able to attend. For members who are not able to attend the special event before the show, their tickets will be left at the will-call window.

For members who will not be able to pick up their tickets in person the day of the show: You can email and we will try and make alternate arrangements for you to pick them up.

'Charlie' video - CONTEST WINNER

La band ha finalmente eletto il vincitore del contest che prevedeva la realizzazione del videoclip ufficiale per "Charlie".
Tale video è stato diretto dal regista Omri Cohen ed è reso disponibile al seguente link di YOUTUBE.

Questo il commento del cantante Anthony Kiedis:
"After watching dozen and dozens of admirable efforts, I finally saw a video for 'Charlie' that made me cry. When I looked at my girlfriend, she was crying too. That's when I knew we had a winner."

Cohen oltre a ricevere un premio di 5,000$, vince anche un viaggio per incontrare i Red Hot ed assistere allo show che la band terrà al Parc de Princes di Parigi il prossimo 6 Luglio.

Il "Padrino del Funk" tornerà a produrre per i Red Hot Chili Peppers?

Da un'intervista a George Clinton di questo mese (giugno 2007) su Totally Dublin Magazine, sembrerebbe che lo storico "Padrino del Funk" abbia intenzione di tornare al fianco dei Chili Peppers in veste di produttore per quello che sarà il loro prossimo album. Riportiamo le citazioni dell'intervista:

TD: You produced the Chili Peppers in the eighties. Do you still see them around?

GC: When I get a chance to. We jam a lot together and own each other's records and I want to get a shot at producing their next album.

I progetti di Flea dopo il tour

Sembra che Flea quest'estate, al termine del tour di Stadium Arcadium, abbia in mente di fermarsi al Silverlake per insegnare tromba e basso.

partecipano alla mini-serie animata "Lil' Bush"

Dal 13 giugno scorso Comedy Central, tramite il suo sito Comedycentral.com trasmette la mini-serie animata "Lil' Bush", un nuovo cartoon satirico in cui molti artisti prestano la voce ai vari personaggi: tra questi Iggy Pop (Donald Rumsfeld), Jeff Tweedy (Dio), Frank Black (Diavolo). Dave Grohl, Flea ed Anthony Kiedis presteranno la voce alle loro stesse controfigure partecipanti alla mini-serie.
